My car needs new shocks. Those on it has seen better days and had lost their compression. They had leaks everywhere and riding can be a jarring experience. I took my car to the shop and they suggested that we use the monro matic plus shock absorber. Their nitrogen charged and quite inexpensive. Now I have a very smooth ride. No need to wear a helmet to protect my head.

Horse Need It Too

During our stay at a friend’s ranch, I observed how horses are cared for. They are bathed, groomed and fed. The horses wear horse fly sheets to ward away insects. They’re treated with so much care and love. They are handled delicately and I never saw anyone use a whip. They are exercised daily and my family had the chance to ride them up some very scenic mountain trails. Humans need some TLC, horses need them too.

In Bloom

I just love spring. Everything seems to come alive after the winter months. Nothing is more beautiful than the flowers in spring. I wait for the first bloom. It’s also a welcome sight when the birds start coming in to feast on my feeders. My garden seems to come to life as new leaves start to grow. Spring livens our backyard as we once again lounge around during afternoons and eat our meals outside. I just love spring.

At The Ranch

We spent a weekend at a ranch my husband’s friend owns. We rode horses and we branded some calves. We had to dress for the role so we wore western outfits. Good thing I still had my trusty western boots. We all had cowboy hats as well. We had fun and spent a night under the stars. They roasted a calf for us and had a great feast before we left. We intend to return next summer.

You are about to bake your family’s favorite cake when you suddenly realized you are one egg short. The fix? If the cake recipe includes a rising agent like baking soda, replace that egg with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. The kitchen staple will react with the baking soda to mimic the effect of the egg. But hey, the tip only works if there is at least one other egg in the recipe; you cannot substitute all eggs with vinegar.
