At The Ranch

We spent a weekend at a ranch my husband’s friend owns. We rode horses and we branded some calves. We had to dress for the role so we wore western outfits. Good thing I still had my trusty western boots. We all had cowboy hats as well. We had fun and spent a night under the stars. They roasted a calf for us and had a great feast before we left. We intend to return next summer.

Getting Fashion Lessons from My Sister

My sister is giving me lessons on how to look stunning this summer. We have to attend several occasions this summer; family wedding, two anniversaries, and a cousin’s debut. She knows that I’m not a good dresser (I hate to admit that, but it’s true!) because I prefer jeans and shirts all the time. She found a really cool site last time she shopped for clothes, Grey and Osbourn and she bought several basler clothes for me as well. I’m supposed to wear these clothes in all the parties that we have to attend this summer. She’s the expert when it comes to dressing up and she’s always updated on what’s new. She should have been a fashion designer and I wonder why she ended up as a lab technician. She’ll be doing my makeup too so I save a trip on going to to the salon as well. It’s great to have a sister who’s good at these things. It’s probably why her coaching doesn’t stick in my mind; she’s always there to help me.

Eager To Ride

My husband has not ridden his motorcycle for years. He has resurrected his old bike. He bought a new helmet and body pads. He replaced his worn out motorcycle boots with a new pair. A new pair of gloves completed the ensemble. His bike is as good as new after its restoration. He’s eager to ride again. I hope he’s still fit enough to do so. Knowing him, he’ll give it a go.

Girls Night Out

A few months ago, my friends and I held a girls night out. We had a naughty theme party. We agreed that we would wear slutty costumes and each one of us would have to sing or dance. It was a fun night and we had prizes for everyone. The best performance got a gift certificate for a weekend at a famous resort for two. We’re planning another party similar to the one we had. This time around, our husbands will be invited. It would be a riotous experience.

Cute And Rugged

My family loves the outdoors. We would often spend our weekends camping or trekking. The G Shock watch has always been my husbands favorite. Its features go well with his rugged activities. These however do not appeal to the female gender. They’re just too big for the female wrist and I wouldn’t personally wear it everyday. That was the case until Casio came out with their Baby G watches. Now these are what a woman can wear anytime. I have since bought several that matches the colors of my clothes. Like me, my daughter also has several in different colors and designs. What’s nice about the Baby G is that you can even exchange its bezels for a different look.

I just love them. They’re cute and rugged at the same time. In fact, I wear them anywhere, anytime. Whatever the activity or event, you can wear them. They easily match whatever I,m wearing. They’re unisex and can be worn by both men and women.

Sweet Present

My son had taken a summer job to spend his summer more fruitfully. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I was surprised when he handed a small box as he kissed me on the cheek. It was a beautiful watch. He saved his earnings to buy me a present. For days, he had been choosing what design to give from several Anne Klein watches. This is the first time he bought me a gift that came from his earnings. The gesture made proud. Barely in his teens, he is maturing quite well. Kids his age would spend countless playing video games or going out with friends.

He seems to be earning well as he had enough savings to buy stuff for himself. He had always been different. Instead of asking his dad for money, he would save his allowance. Of course there were times when he would ask if his savings were not enough. I’ll proudly wear this watch and tell my friends how I got it.

Laundry Business

One of my friends recently opened a laundry business. Aside from coin-operated washing machines, she also has several big accounts. One is a hostel and the other a small hospital. Her shop would do the laundry for the hostel and washes the the nursing uniforms of the hospital staff. So far, her business has been brisk. The shop’s location has a cornered market and I’m sure it would be a big success.

My King’s Wardrobe

My husband loves to dress casually. He’s not into suits and would pick a decent shirt over anything else. Every time we go to the mall, he goes directly to the men’s polo shirts and picks what he likes. He just cannot have enough of them. It’s so easy to buy clothes for him. He’s so easy to please him as we all know what he wants. So much for my king’s wardrobe. Casual wear is what gives him true comfort.

Wedding Bells

Wedding bells are ringing as my youngest cousin is finally tying the knot. Her boyfriend recently popped the question during one of our family’s reunions. She’s about my daughter’s age and she had asked her to be her bridesmaid. My cousin decided to get all the dresses from one place to keep them in line with her theme. She asked my daughter to choose from several Bari Jay bridesmaid dresses. One more member of the family is starting a new life. Our family is really getting bigger.

Yuletide Presents

I’d like to do my Christmas shopping early. I hate lining up for hours just to buy a few stuff. Shopping ahead also allows me to get the best presents for my nephews and nieces. A nephew of mine is very specific. He wants only parish clothing as they fit his personality. He is my favorite and he’ll be getting what he wants. Two months before the holidays and I’m almost through my Yuletide shopping.
