Raspberry French Toast

Here’s a delicious way to serve breakfast . Whisk together 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and a splash of milk. Spread raspberry jam between 2 slices of bread, dip in egg mixture. Directions: 1) In a microwave-safe bowl, combine milk and thyme. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 to 2 minutes or until bubbly; cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature. 2) In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with reserved Pour milk mixture. Stir in lemon juice and lemon peel. 3) Pour into a greased 9-in. x 5-in. x 3-in. loaf pan. Bake a at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. 4) In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients until smooth; drizzle over bread. This post has 1 Comment » Banana Bread
