Dried Cherries Lessen Inflammation

Reduced UV-light exposure prevents the brain’s ability to control levels of cytokines, inflammatory proteins that cause pain.  Noshing on 20 pieces of dried cherries a day can dial down inflammation as effectively as an aspirin or ibuprofen does.  The fruit’s anti-inflammatory compounds mop up excess cytokines.  Snack on dried cherries or sprinkle them over, yogurt, cereal or salads.
