If you frequent this blog, you probably know that aside from baking and cooking, I came from a family of crafters. Yup, my mom can do crochet and most of the decors in her home were sewn by her. If her eyes are still good; I’m sure she will still be doing this.

My MIL and SIL are great at cross stitch and needlepoint. In fact, My SIL has a shop that caters to almost all kinds of crafts; embroidery, cross stitch, bead work, papier tole, candle and soap making, and a lot more. My husband and son are into fine scale modelling. I also tried it before but I am more into Hardanger embroidery now.

My two boys are into a project; they are building a World War II diorama. They love watching war films and they thought of putting the scenes in a diorama. They bought sets and sets of war models from craft stores; some were ordered online. But to make the whole diorama; they had to make some of the scenes (rivers, bridges, trees, lamp posts, buildings, streets, etc. on their own. They had to have the right hand tools for that. They found Stanley tools website and that’s where they ordered their tools from. Hubs says the woodworking hand tools made in USA helped them did most of the decors and accessories.

The diorama is slowly taking shape according to my son, but to keep the surprise, I’m not allowed to take a peek. I can’t wait to see it!
