Eager To Ride

My husband has not ridden his motorcycle for years. He has resurrected his old bike. He bought a new helmet and body pads. He replaced his worn out motorcycle boots with a new pair. A new pair of gloves completed the ensemble. His bike is as good as new after its restoration. He’s eager to ride again. I hope he’s still fit enough to do so. Knowing him, he’ll give it a go.

Job Fair

My niece who used to work in a vet clinic recently lost her job. In a recent jobs fair sponsored by the city government, several clinics had opening s for Laboratory Animal Caretaker Jobs. This is exactly what she was doing before. She has several years of experience and really loves animals. She had given her CV to some of the clinics. Hopefully she’ll be getting a call from one of them in the next few days.

Triple Chocolate Sensation

Want to stay sharp?  Then enjoy dark chocolate.  The yummy treat contains epicatechin, an antioxidant thought to protect the brain against the amyloid plaques that are known to lead to Alzheimer’s.

For this recipe you will need:

• 1 box (1.3 oz.) fat free, sugar free cook and serve chocolate pudding mix
• 2 cups chocolate skim milk
• 2 oz. chopped bittersweet or semisweet chocolate
• 3/4 cup fat-free whipped topping

Directions:

In medium sauce pan over medium heat, bring chocolate pudding mix and chocolate skim milk to a boil, stirring constantly.  remove from heat.  Add chopped chocolate; stir until chocolate is melted.  Divide pudding mixture evenly among 4 serving bowls; cover with plastic wrap.  Chill 1 hour, or until set.  Top each glass with whipped topping.  Garnish each glass with chocolate shavings, if desired.

Neat and Cool Checks

My daughter is too excited to go to the bank on Monday to pick up the booklets of checks she ordered.  It’s her first time to open a checking account and she giggled when the bank officer asked her if she would like to have them personalized.  She checked the designs and it took her a long time to choose.  She said the designs are pretty cool and asked me why I’m not ordering for those checks.  I told her that the personalized checks are new and I have already ordered a bulk before they introduced the new checks.

I was a bit sad when I knew about it because I will have to finish all my booklets first before I can order the cool ones.  But I’m glad too that my bank is now offering personalized bank checks.  I used to envy my sister in the US because her checks were so cool.  Well, now we have those too.

My daughter chose an abstract design that somehow shows how youthful she is.  The bank said they will deliver her booklets but it’ll take about 5 days.  She is too excited and can’t wait that long so she called the bank officer to tell him that she will pick up her personal checks on Monday.
