My cousin’s store is expanding. Despite the economic slowdown, his sales is steadily going up. To keep with the pace and to make sure that the inventory is well stocked, he introduced a new POS system. Every item now has barcodes. The cashier only has to scan the barcode and the price is displayed on the computer. It also updates the inventory. It really makes the operation easier.

    Healthy Eyes with Apricots

Munching on apricots daily can cut the risk of vision loss by 25%.  The credit goes to the fruit’s beta-carotene and vitamin C, nutrients vital to the transmission of nerve impulses from retina to the brain.

    Why I Missed the Tour

Posted on @ 1:48 am | File under : arts and crafts, vacation by sweetness

It was unfortunate that I wasn’t able to join my parents on their European trip last month.  I was supposed to go with them on the tour but I had to cancel at the last minute because of an emergency.  I was dying to visit the art galleries in  France and Switzerland; museum zurich most especially and the budding Amsterdam design.  But I don’t feel so sorry that I missed the tour because there will always be a next time.  Mom brought home so many photos of all the things I wanted to see.  She even brought home lots of Vienna Art photos.

Anyway, here’s why I missed the tour.  My daughter who was scheduled to deliver her twins in August showed early signs of labor pains.  When she and her husband visited the doctor, they were told that her cervix was already open.  Two centimeters to be exact.  Her doctor said she can still delay the delivery for a couple of weeks more because the babies need to age a little more.  I didn’t want to risk leaving so I cancelled two days before my parents left.  They wanted to cancel too but I told them to proceed with the tour because I will be here to see to my daughter.  Two weeks later she delivered two healthy baby girls through C-section.  They turned one month last Sunday and are growing so fast.
