I keep getting comments all the time from people coming to my site that they get so hungry after looking through all the images of desserts.  Sorry, but I love desserts and have to display them at every opportunity.  So, I will give you a break today and shift over to another topic; Online Savings!  I love coupons as much as I love baking.  Since I am online blogging, it is easier for me to do some online shopping.  Plus, I don’t have to deal with any hassles of going to the mall.  For the best online coupons, I start at MyCoupons.com.  They have hundreds of discount coupons for just about any retailer you can image.  What is your favorite store, just search for them at the top and see what offers you can find.  Want more direction, they have links on the left site for Exclusive, Free Shipping and Most Popular.  One of my favorite sites is Overstock and MyCoupons.com has several Overstock Coupon Codes.  And I do make sure just to pop over to QVC’s page and see what QVC Coupon Codes they might have, just in case!  So check them out and while you are thinking about shopping, when is the last time you updated your cookware.  Take a look at both those sites, they always have good products.  Nothing is worse than a recipe going bad because of some old residue in your pots and pans.  Good Luck Shopping and keep that Kitchen updated and clean.

    Dancing My Way To Weight-loss

Posted on June 15, 2011 @ 2:13 pm | File under : entertainment, gadgets, health and fitness by sweetness

My son must be really upset with me. I use his game console more than he does. Since I bought the zumba for xbox 360, I’ve been using it more often. It really has made losing weight more enjoyable. It had some positive effects on him as well. He has been doing more studying lately. His grades are better. As for me, I’m dancing my way to weight-loss.

    A Social Problem

Posted on @ 2:01 pm | File under : health by sweetness

Drug abuse is a social problem. It touches the very heart of society. I belong to a civic club that helps out kids with drug problems. We also act as a support group for their families. We recommend these kids to drug treatment programs. For poor families, we look for sponsors to help in the treatment expenses. So far, we have been very successful. The cases that we’ve handled have very positive results.

    Orange You Glad?

Posted on June 11, 2011 @ 12:00 am | File under : health benefits, recipe by sweetness

Orange help lower cholesterol levels.  Thanks to the fruit’s high supply of herperedin, it alleviates high blood pressure and reduce levels of LDL or bad cholesterol.

    Italian Orange Cheesecake

For this recipe you will need:

    • 1 box (11 oz.) mini brownie bites
    • 1 orange, halved and thinly sliced
    • 1 box (3 oz.) orange gelatin
    • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup ricotta cheese
    • 1 container (8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed

    Directions:

    1)  In bowl of food processor, pulse brownie bites 2 minutes, or until finely ground.  Press brownie crumbs into bottom of 8″ springform pan.  Arrange orange slices around sides of pan.

    2)  In bowl, pour 2/3 cup boiling water over gelatin.  Stir 2 minutes or until completely dissolved.  Let cool slightly; transfer to bowl of food processor.  Add cream cheese and ricotta cheese.  Pulse 2 minutes or until well blended.

    3)  In bowl, whisk together gelatin-cheese mixture and whipped topping.  Spoon into prepared pan;  chill 3 hours, or until firm.  Garnish with whipped topping, berries, kiwifruit and mint, if desired.
