My son, the collector

When my son was about 5 years old, he started collecting toy cars, he used to have containers full of them in his room. When he turned 10 his interest shifted from cars to soldiers. He would save up all his allowance and buy G.I. Joe figures. He would also buy toy guns, binoculars, and even wear camouflage when he plays pretend. Now that he’s in high school, he put all those away. He’s more interested in skate boarding now. And he collects small skate boards which he plays using his fingers. He’s pretty good at collecting things. I wonder what his next collection will be, a bunch of gold coins, maybe?

Baking Tip (10)

Separating a large quantity of eggs for your cake or meringue can take up a lot of time.  To speed up the process, pour the eggs into a slotted spoon or colander set over a bowl.  The whites will fall through the holes, leaving the yolks intact on the utensil.

Seeing The Girls Again

My best friend and I were assigned to plan our group’s Christmas party which will also serve as our high school reunion. The girls and I haven’t seen each other for 10 years! If it wasn’t for face book, my best friend and I wouldn’t have found our long lost girl friends from high school. A bunch of us  were talking the other night and since my best friend and I see each other almost every week, we were the lucky ones chosen to plan the reunion. We were thinking of having cute gold coins made that will serve as our give away. I was browsing the internet the other night and found a site where we can buy gold coins (actually they don’t just sell that, they also have bullion, ingots and gold bars), now all that’s left is the design and the give away is a go! We can finally cross it on our checklist and worry about some other party related stuff. Haha.
