Pop The Corn!

Hubby has finished installing the last vga cable to complete setting up our new home theater. My kids and I have bought some DVD movies and we intend to spend the weekend watching our favorite films. Hubby’s been working on the system for the past four weekends and now our long wait is over. It’s time to pop the corn and break out the snacks. Some friends are coming over to watch with us. It will be a very long fun-filled weekend.

Home-made Churros

For this recipe you will need:

• 1/4 cup whole milk
• 6 tablespoons butter, diced
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
• 4 teaspoons cinnamon, divided
• 5 large eggs
• vegetable oil for frying

Directions:

1)  In saucepan over high heat, bring milk, butter and 1/2 cup water to a boil.  Stir in flour, 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.  Reduce heat to medium-high.  Cook 2 minutes, stirring continuously.  In food processor, puree dough and eggs 2 minutes, or until smooth; spoon into pastry bag with star tip.

2)  In deep fryer, heat 2″ oil to 375°F.  Working in batches, on greased baking sheet, pipe 4″ straight or teardrop shapes; slide into oil.  Cook 1 minute.  Drain.

3)  In bowl, gently toss churros with remaining sugar and cinnamon.

Having Sensitive Skin

My daughter has sensitive skin like her dad. She is currently taking her OJT at a hotel in Manila. She works six days a week and is constantly exposed to dust and the like. Now she has acne problems, and she doesn’t have the time to go to the derma and have them treated. At first it was okay since facial cleansers seem to do their job, but since she still ha a month or so before he OJT is finished, the pimples keep coming back. It’s a good thing her aunt discovered this acne cream, and it seems to be working well with my baby’s skin considering how sensitive it is.

She’s still very fortunate because some people have really sensitive skin and severe acne problems that they file Accutane Lawsuits because of the side effects they get from the meds they take. I was actually surprised that this existed, I’ve heard of Trasylol lawsuit but not Accutane.
